PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition having excellent appearance because of improvement in compatibility between resins, showing excellent heat resistance, flame retardance, mechanical properties, by blending a specific polyphenylene sulfide resin with a polyarylene ether-based resin and a specific compatibilizing agent. CONSTITUTION:This composition is obtained by blending 100 pts.wt. of total of (A) a polyphenylene sulfide resin having 5-50mumol/g end thiol group concentration (preferably a resin of a linear structure containing >=70mol% unit of the formula, washed after treatment with an acid) and (B) a polyarylene ether-based resin [preferably poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene) ether, etc.] with (C) 0.1-30 pts.wt. of a cured material of an epoxy resin. A cured material obtained by curing a naphthalene type polyfunctional epoxy resin with a polyamidoamine or a polyethyleneimine is preferable as the component C. Fine powder or powder having <=300mum is preferably used as the component C and is uniformly dispersed into the component A. |
