PURPOSE: To obtain an ink-jet printing method with an enlarged gray scale and high concn. reproducibility by a method wherein during and/or after deposition of an ink on a receiving material, the receiving material is heated or uniformly exposed to electromagnetic radiation to perform color reaction. CONSTITUTION: Ink droplets are projected image-wise onto a receiving material contg. at least one reagent A which is capable of forming a colored product by color reaction with at least one reagent B incorporated in the ink droplets to perform image formation. In this case, the color reaction is started or enhanced by a method wherein during and/or after deposition of the ink on the receiving material, the receiving material is uniformly heated or uniformly exposed to chemically active electromagnetic radiation. In addition, when the ink droplets are projected, ink droplets with a different concn. of at least one reagent B or ink droplets contg. the reagent A or B are deposited on the receiving material and other ink droplets with a different concn. are deposited from a separate ink jet. |
