PURPOSE:To provide an alarm that can detect a tire strain irrespective of a variation in car weight in regard to this strain alarm detecting the tire strain, to be produced as deformation or the like due to a shortage of air quantity in a tire and an increase in car weight, with ultrasonic waves. CONSTITUTION:This alarm is provided with an ultrasonic transmitting means 11 being set up in an air chamber side 16 of a tire rim part and transmitted to another air chamber side 17 of a tread part, a transmitting control means 10 controlling this means 11 and outputting a transmission synchronizing signal 18, and an ultrasonic receiving means 12 being set up in the air chamber side 16 of the tire rim part and receiving ultrasonic waves reflected at an inner part 17 of the tread part, and outputting a reception synchronizing signal 19, respectively. In this constitution, it is made up of installing a distance comparing means 13 inputting both these transmission and reception synchronizing signals 18 and 19, comparing a span of time ranging from ultrasonic transmission to reflected wave reception with the setting value, and outputting the presence of a tire strain, and an alarm means 14 emitting a warning to a driver with a voice or visible information in response to the output of this distance comparing means 13. |
