<p>A pressure regulator assembly having a pre-set apparatus in a selectively inaccessible location for presetting a minimum pressure for said pressure regulator and an adjustable mechanism for providing a selectively higher pressure. The pre-set apparatus is selectively adjustable only upon gaining entry to the selectively inaccessible location. A shield member prevents blockage of a venting port while assuring continued communication between the venting port and an area of reduced pressure, such as atmospheric pressure. The advance in the art is, for instance, in reduced number of incompletely assembled or damaged parts of a slide fastener when the pressure regulator is used in governing an assembly mechanism for two parts of a slide fastener to each other.</p> |
