The circuit for effectively controlling the discharge of the battery used on the portable PC or hand phone to prolong the battery life includes: a voltage pathway controller(30) cutting off the reverse voltage to the battery in response to a first switching control signal(SCS), providing the battery voltage to the load in response to a second SCS, and cutting off the battery output in response to a third SCS; and an operation controller(20) providing the first, second, and third SCSs corresponding to the states of the signal of a voltage supervising circuit(9) providing the operation stop signal or threshold detection signal.
