The apparatus attenuates the strength of the incident light from the headlight of the opposite running automobile so that it can make a driver safely drive the automobile. It comprises a plug (60) connected to a cigarrette lighter used as a power source; a sensor sensing the strength of the light from the opposite running automobile; a light density adjustment volume (20) through a bias resistor (R1); an amplifier transistor (Q1) amplifying the difference between the amplfied signal from the transistor and the signal from a pulse generator; a balanced-to-balanced transformer (95) making the amplified incident light symmetric.
