PURPOSE:To enable the polarity of a polarized electronic component accommodated in a reel to be easily recognized according to the size of the reel by constructing the reel of a pair of reel flanges and a core, and making the pair of reel flange have different sizes. CONSTITUTION:In an electronic-component taping reel in which an electrically polarized electronic component 4 taped is wound on a core and accommodated, a pair of reel flanges 1, 1', made of a disc-shaped cardboard about 1mm thick, have different sizes; one of the flanges (1) has a diameter of 178mm, for example, and the other reel flange 1' has a diameter of 174mm, about 4mm smaller than that of the flange 1. The reel thus formed is set in a reel setting portion provided with a polarity recognition portion 6 having portions corresponding to the sizes of the reel flanges 1, 1'. The presence of the polarity recognition portion 6 inhibits setting of any heteropolar reel, ensuring that heteropolar setting can be prevented. |
