<p>Machine for retreading worn tyres of different kinds of vehicles using an elastomeric material extruded in the form of thin continuous strips, which is applied to the surface of the worn, smoothed tread of each tyre that is to be recovered. Machine comprising a tool 13 that applies the material and a tool 14 that supports each tyre mounted on a support structure 12. The applicator tool 13 is equipped with sensor means (encoder 95) that detect the position of each tyre mounted on the support tool 14 with respect to the applicator tool 13, so as to move both means 13, 14 in such a way that each tyre is displaced through a series of movements resulting in the complete covering of the tyre with the elastomeric material 42.
