Appts. for continuous prodn. of crimped yarns in which yarns or rovings (1,2) are crimped by successive twisting, heat fixing and final separation of plural yarns or rovings, whilst they are guided in a closed path. Crimping polyamide, polyester, polypropylene or polyacrylonitrile yarns or rovings. Guiding in closed path reduces or prevents yarn breaks without use of expensive auxiliary devices.
