Neckrest, including a supporting structure and with the cushion-shaped supporting member of the neck rest adjustable in one or a number of directions and/or angular relationships in relation to an adjacent backrest. The cushion-shaped member includes a substantially C-shaped core (1) of an elastic material, having a substantially convex surface as front contact surface for the neck and/or head of a person, and a substantially concave rear surface, whereagainst its lower portion the upper portion of the front surface can be bent. The core (1) may also include a central part having low density with a completely or partly surrounding part having higher density, and also include towards the rear surface open grooves or removed portions. The core (1) can be stiffened by joining the rear surface to a spring means, or by a surrounding substantially airtight cover with an increased internal air pressure. It may also include one or a number of air filled channels for this purpose. The movement for the rear surface of the neckrest can be restricted by an adjacent to said surface extending metal sheet support or similar. |
