PURPOSE:To provide an expanded fluororubber and a formed article of an expanded fluororubber having high dimensional stability and surface accuracy, a closed cell structure and good skin layer. CONSTITUTION:This expanded fluororubber is produced by compounding 100 pts.wt. of a polyol-vulcanizable binary fluororubber composition with 3-10 pts.wt. of an organic foaming agent, 2-5 pts.wt. of an acid acceptor and 3-10 pts.wt. of a reactivation agent, carrying out preliminary expansion and preliminary vulcanization of the mixture at a low temperature to an extent corresponding to 3-10% of the final volume increase ratio of the expanded product and subjecting the preliminarily expanded product to the final expansion and final vulcanization at a temperature higher than the preliminary expansion and vulcanization temperature. The expanded fluororubber is formed by using a mold to obtain a formed article of the expanded fluororubber. |
