PURPOSE:To obtain an ink which has sufficient adhesive power for the purpose of indicating the presence of glass and can be readily erased with a wet cloth, by using a resin emulsion, an alkali-soluble resin and a water-soluble resin as the constituents. CONSTITUTION:The ink contains constituent (A) comprising an acrylic resin emulsion and a polyacrylic acid neutralized with an organic amine or ammonia and constituent (B) comprising a water-soluble resin, such as polyvinyl alcohol or polyvinyl acetal, water and a pigment at a weight ratio of constituent A to constituent B of (9:1) to (1:9). It is desirable that the amount of the pigment used is 3-40 wt.% based on the ink composition. If necessary, a lower alcohol, a wetting agent, a surface active agent, etc., can be incorporated into the composition. By infiltrating the ink into a roller mode of a porous elastic body having characters, symbols, etc., formed on the surface so as to give surface irregularities, pressing the roller against the surface of a glass plate, and rolling it to apply the ink to the surface, a mark can be obtained which indicates the presence of glass, does not peel off due to exposure to the weather or rubbing by people, and ca readily be wiped off with wet cloth. |
