The producing method of a thick and thin polyester yarn by the direct spinning draw process is characterized by (a) melt spinning a polyester fiber at 1,500˜2,000 m/min spinning speed, and then cold solidifying the spinned fiber, and (b) drawing the fiber between the first godet roller of 40˜60 deg.C and the second godet roller of 50˜70 deg.C by 1.7˜2.0 drawing magnification. The polyester yarn has a superior thick and thin effect.
