In order to use simple means to implement a machine which is operationally reliable without limitation, is of small and short design, produces little noise and can be subjected to a functional test independently of the input drive unit or output drive unit, it is proposed that a supporting housing (9) be provided between the bearing on the input drive side or output drive side of the shaft (1) and the retaining body (2), which supporting housing (9) fixes a first bearing (5), which can be displaced on the shaft (1), in a blind hole (6) in the supporting housing (9) and accommodates a second bearing (7), which is at a distance from the first bearing (5) on the shaft (1), as a result of which the power flow between the shaft bearing in the supporting housing (9) and the stand (3) is closed.
