摘要 The invention relates to an interval control device and a method for interval control of a wiper device, in particular a window wiping device in motor vehicles, the length, in terms of time, of the respective next interval being controlled as a function of the frictional resistance on the surface to be wiped, which frictional resistance is identified by measuring the current of the wiper motor. Conclusions being drawn with respect to properties of the wiper device (1) from the current profile of the wiper motor (2), which is detected by using measuring technology and is repeatedly sensed over time during one wiping period, by making associations with the profile of the wiping period over time, and the following wiping interval is set with corresponding timing. Properties of the wiping system, for example the application of water, the slipstream, the degree of soiling of the window etc. can then be identified from the measured current drain of the wiper motor (2) and as a result the subsequent interval times can be optimised. <IMAGE>
