The invention relates to a flush-mounted box for electrical installation apparatuses, for fixing on a mounting wall having retaining projections. This mounting wall is preferably a component of a cable duct. The flush-mounted box can be mounted in the interior of the cable duct with the aid of retaining means which can be fixed to the retaining projections and overhang the base of the box, the retaining means being arranged at a distance from one another in this case. Their mutual separation is variable. The positions of the retaining means can be varied by means of fastening screws. It is proposed to form the retaining means integrally and directly via at least one hinge-like connection of one of the walls, preferably to the base of the flush-mounted box. The retaining means are thus a component of the flush-mounted box for the first time.
