The invention relates to a cable drum made of plastic having drum discs which have a reinforcing ring and S-shaped wheel rim with a power ring. The power ring is composed of two annular ribs which are arranged concentrically with one another and are supported against one another by means of stabilising ribs. In addition, the power ring is supported against the reinforcing ring by means of sinusoidal supporting ribs. This results in an extremely large loading capacity with adequate flexibility and elasticity in such a manner that the stresses occurring when loads are exerted remain within permissible limits. <IMAGE>
