This control unit has a receiving section for receiving the image signals and control signals, by means of which unit individual program selection is possible in a simple manner. To this end, it is provided that the control unit (22) has a number of switching means (30) which corresponds to the number of received channels and which switching means change their switching state in dependence on particular control signals (20) and preferably perform an automatic program-content-dependent control of the devices reproducing the image signals. <IMAGE>
