Apparatus and process for dissolving water-soluble, pulverulent polymers

The proposed device for dissolving water-soluble polymer powders comprises a tube with an inlet end through which a polymer solution containing gel components is introduced, and an outlet end through which the polymer solution is removed. In the device, the gel content of the polymer solution is reduced without any reduction in the viscosity of the solution as the tube consists of a plurality of tube sections which can connect to each other and have filters.
