<p>The invention relates to a device for an electrostatic filter for separation of particles, which device comprises a particle-charging unit (110) which is arranged upstream and which includes at least one corona wire for charging the particles, and a particle-collecting unit (101) which is arranged downstream of the latter and which is at least partly earthed, the particle-collecting unit comprising at least one plate (106, 106', 106'') arranged in a casing (102, 103, 104, 105), the casing and the plate being arranged to have essentially the same electric potential with respect to the corona wire, these preferably being earthed, and the material in the casing (102, 103, 104, 105) and the plate (106, 106', 106'') each comprising a non-hygroscopic material of high resistivity, corresponding essentially to the volume resistivity of a so-called soft-earthing material.
