In a process for cleaning sewage and pipeline systems by means of pressurised water which is discharged, at the outlet end (21) of a pressure hose (4), in the form of a water jet from at least one jet nozzle, the washing out and back washing of the contaminants, as the pressure hose (4) is advanced, is effected by the at least one water jet being inclined oppositely with respect to the advancement. In order to improve the penetration depth of the pressure hose (4), the advancement of the hose and the back washing of the contaminants are assisted by in each case at least one further water jet which is discharged, at at least one intermediate location (24) between the inlet end (20) and the outlet end (21) of the pressure hose (4), from a nozzle intermediate body (1) in a direction which is likewise inclined oppositely with respect to the advancement direction. Preferably, the nozzle intermediate body (1) is of rotationally symmetrical design and the axes of the jet nozzles arranged therein are aligned at an angle of 4 to 30 degrees, preferably of 5 to 20 degrees, with respect to the longitudinal axis (A-A). <IMAGE>
