MANUFACTURING METHOD OF A SLEEVE FOR ELECTRON GUN OF CATHODE-RAY TUBE

The sleeve of an electron gune for a cathode ray tube is manufactured by (a) compressing, molding and sintering a molybdenum powder to make a molybdenum tube having at most 4 mm outer diameter and at least 100 μ thickness, (b) corrosion treating the molybdenum tube with a nitric acid and/or a sulfuric acid solution, and (c) making the tube having 20-50 μ thickness by the drawing process, and cutting it.
