An inductive speed sensor is proposed which essentially consists of a housing, an electric coil which is arranged in the housing and mounted on a moulded part, as well as of a pole core (pole body) and an assigned permanent magnet, which are arranged in a cutout (recess) of the moulded body. In order to obtain an inductive speed sensor for whose measuring arrangement it is possible to use a cost effective (economical) pole core, which does not place high demands on the accuracy of production, and an assigned magnet, and for which the calibration and the fixing of the pole core and magnet are performed without additional components, the rear housing section is formed by the other end region of the moulded part, and the cutout present in the moulded part is constructed as a blind hole. The permanent magnet and thus the pole core are held clamped in the blind hole against the base of the front housing section by means of a spring element located in said hole.
