METHOD OF PRODUCING POLY-GLYCOLIC ACID WITH EXCELLENT HEAT RESISTANCE

摘要

The high viscous polyglycolic acid having excellent heat resistance is prepared by reacting the purified and dried glycolide, and 0.0001-0.001wt.% of tinous octanic acid as catalyst and 0.005-0.5wt% (pref. 0.01-0.1wt%, w.r.t. the glycolide component) of tocopherol of formula (I) as an anti-oxdant, an the formula, R1 and R2 are each same or not H or CH3. The obtd. polyglycolic acid is useful for the suture material of biodegradable and biocompatabl preperty.
