Light unit for vehicles

The light unit comprises a headlamp and a light which is arranged to the side of the headlamp. The light is inserted with a locking arm directed in the light exit direction into a guide element of the headlamp and engages behind a wall section of the headlamp in a self-locking way. The locking arm can be moved into an unlocked and locked locking position by means of a locking element. The locking element is a rotary knob which is fitted to the free end section of the sprung locking arm. The rotary knob has a beard which is directed towards a supporting element. The beard and a recess of the supporting element have a size, shape and position which are matched to one another in such a way that in a position of the rotary knob which serves to unlock the locking arm the beard can be dipped into the recess when the locking element is engaged and disengaged, and in a position of the rotary knob which serves to lock the locking arm the board is positioned with at least one section directed towards a lateral surface of the supporting element.
