The subject matter of the invention is the elastic connection between one of the component vehicles of an articulated bus and a live ring joint which serves to make the connection between the two component vehicles in order to permit bending movements between the two component vehicles about the vertical axis (3) of the joint. One of the two live rings of the joint which can be rotated in relation to one another is held by a bracket (2) which itself is mounted on one of the two component vehicles at the end remote from the joint and is capable of rotating about a horizontal axis (7) out of a centre position counter to the effect of a suspension means. The suspension means is a spring rod (12) to whose two ends one of the two component vehicles is attached and to which the bracket (2) is attached between the two ends, or the ends of the spring rod (12) are attached to the bracket (2) and the spring rod is attached between its ends to one of the two component vehicles. <IMAGE>
