摘要 PURPOSE:To recover high-purity Y in high yield from a mixture of rare earth elements, by providing an Y fraction solution from the mixture of the rare earth element, passing the resultant fraction solution through an adsorption column to adsorb Y and passing an acidic aqueous solution through the adsorption column. CONSTITUTION:(a) An aqueous solution containing a mixture of rare earth elements is passed through an adsorption column (A) filled with a strong acidic cation exchange resin to adsorb the rare earth elements. (b) An aqueous solution of a complexing agent (A) is passed from the adsorption column (A) to mutually separate the rare earth elements to afford a fraction solution of the rare earth elements consisting essentially of yttrium. (c) The fraction solution is then passed through an adsorption column (B) filled with a strong acidic cation exchange resin to adsorb the rare earth elements. (d) An aqueous solution of a complexing agent (B) is passed from the adsorption column (B) to mutually separate the rare earth elements and provide an yttrium fraction solution. (e) The yttrium fraction solution is subsequently passed through an adsorption column (C) filled with a strong acidic cation exchange resin to adsorb the yttrium. (f) An aqueous solution of an acid is then passed through the adsorption column (C) to recover the yttrium.
