<p>PURPOSE:To enable mounting and demounting of cover parts through one and the same conveyance passage by a method wherein a conveying jig to hold cover parts, e.g. a door, a bonnet, and a trunk lid, and a car body are conveyed in a manner to be arrange in a longitudinal direction, the cover parts are removed, in order, by demounting device positioned facing respective cover parts and are transferred to a subsequent conveying jig. CONSTITUTION:By carrying a conveying jig 4, having a door mounting means, a bonnet mounting means and the like, to a position on the upper stream side of a car body 1 on a first conveyance passage 5, the car body 1 and the conveying jig 4 are alternately conveyed. In working stations B1-B4 in a conveying process, cover parts 2 (2a-2d) are orderly removed to hold them, and the held cover parts 2 are transferred and placed on a conveying truck 4 carried following the car body 1 from which the cover parts 2 are removed. The car body 1 and the conveying truck 4 are conveyed along conveyance passages 7 and 8 branched on the downstream side of the first conveyance passage 5 and after individual processing is applied on the car body 1 and each cover part 2, the car body and the cover parts are reassembled together at a subsequent station.</p> |
