<p>The appts. comprises a heat sink body having an open cavity, a body of thermally-insulating resilient material substantially filling the cavity, and a thin membrane located on an exposed portion of the body of thermally-insulating resilient material. Two spaced-apart temp. sensors are located on, and attached to, two spaced-apart localised portions, respectively, of the thin membrane. A heat source is located on and attached to a third localised portion of the thin membrane, and an auxiliary thermally conducting plate having a first end portion is thermally attached to the heat sink body and a second end portion located on a fourth localised portion of the thin membrane. Both of the localised portions of the thin membrane are located between the third and fourth localised portions of it.</p> |
