<p>Penta chlorophenyl fatty acid esters for textile treatment Composn. which improves wear-resistance of textiles, which is a liquid at 0 degree C comprises (1) fatty acid (6-12C's pref. 8-10C's) esters of pentachlorophenol, which may consist of up to 30 wt.% of pentachlorophenol itself, and (2) ester, liquid at 0 degree C of (alkyl)phenols which may be chlorinated to a lesser degree than in (1). The component (2) pref. is selected from mono- di-, tri- and tetrachlorophenol, (or alkyl phenol) esters of fatty acids having 1-9C's in their chain, or (alkyl) phenolic esters of 1-12C contg. fatty acids. The ratio of (1) to (2) is pref. 60:40.</p> |
