The invention concerns a reusable packaging container in the shape of a box for use preferably for machines, in particular office machines, the container having a base plate (2), a side-wall assembly (3) made up of several walls (5 to 8) and a removable cover (4) designed to fit over the side-wall assembly. The aim of the invention is to provide a container of this kind which is simple in design and easy to use, which can be folded up as compactly as possible to occupy minimum storage space and which enables goods, in particular heavy machines, to be packed and unpacked simply and straightforwardly. This is achieved by virtue of the fact that the base plate (2) is designed as a pallet, the walls (5 to 8) are connected to each other by hinges (9) and at least two of the walls can be detached as complete units from the pallet (2). In addition, the whole of the side-wall assembly (3) can be folded up and stacked together with the cover (4) on the pallet (2), the cover (4) forming the capping layer in the stack (10). |
