PURPOSE:To paint out the specified area of an image without overlapped processings and unpainted part by a simple algorithm by updating the number of a picture element to be processed in the repeating processing part of a step every step and labeling only a connecting picture element in the vicinity. CONSTITUTION:A label (b) is imparted to the boundary line of a boundary line image, a label (c) is imparted outside the boundary line, a first number is given to a picture element corresponding to the designated point designated within either one of an internal area and an external area and the label is changed from (c) to (a). In a first step, an object picture element having a label (c) among picture elements connecting the vicinity of the first numbered picture element is given with a consecutive number and its label is changed from (c) to (a). In a second and succeeding steps to be successively executed, an object picture element having a label (c) among picture elements connecting the vicinity of respective numbered picture elements is given with a number consecutive to a number given in a just be fore step and the label is changed from (c) to (a). The picture element are of the label (a) is pained out with a specified color. |
