PURPOSE:To assure water quality by removing the extraneous material in a water flow pipe and to extremely easily performance maintenance operation of an extraneous material capturing means. CONSTITUTION:The extraneous materials are captured by the extraneous material capturing means 4 and are accumulated therein. The arbitrary extraneous material capturing surface (a) of the extraneous material capturing means 4 enclosed by a back washing chamber 6 of a low pressure connected outside receives a back washing effect in accordance with the static pressure of flowing water. The extraneous materials are removed from the extraneous material capturing surface (a) and are moved into the back washing chamber 6 in such a case. The extraneous material in the back washing chamber 6 are then discharged outside the water flow pipe 1 by an extraneous material discharging means. All the extraneous material capturing surfaces of the back washing chamber 6 are covered by the movement thereof and, therefore, the extraneous materials accumulated in the extraneous material capturing means 4 are completely removed. |
