Cold box sand foundry core making - uses air catalyst mixture blowing air

In a modified process the pre-metered quantity of sand for the relevant component is hardened by a catalyst, which is admixed with the blasing air employed to blow it into the mould. The reaction time of the catalyst is longer than the duration of the blowing cycle. The process shortens the cycle time in manufacture, reduces capital cost of plant, results in catalyst saving and causes less odour.
