Fuel gas purificn - with selective sulphur cpd scrubbing before carbon dioxide

Waste gas resulting on regeneration of loaded hot K2CO3 soln. from second absorption step is scrubbed with S cpd.-selective absorption soln. used also in first absorption step and loaded absorption soln. formed is regenerated together with soln. loaded in first step, in process for selective scrubbing of S cpd., before CO2 from fuel gases, carried out under raised press. using two absorption steps fitted with regeneration devices. Aq. soln. of plain aminoacid alkali salts is used in first and a hot K2CO3 soln. in second step and kept in closed cycle by absorption and regeneration. In both steps, regeneration is effected by expansion and stripping with steam.
