The foam insulation shell is pressed against a heated tool which corresponds to the flange ring with the bolt heads or nuts to achieve the exact dimensions. By exchanging the tool it is possible to correctly form the shells from tubes of 15-500 mm nominal value. The thermoplastic foam can be polystyrene or polyurethane foam.
