PURPOSE:To reutilize waste ink by returning the waste ink generated by recovery operation and preparatory emission to an ink container in an ink jet recording apparatus. CONSTITUTION:An ink container capable of reutilizing waste ink generated by recovery operation and preparatory emission has an ink supply container and a waste ink storage container. By making both of the ink supply container and the waste ink storage container replaceable, waste ink can be reutilized. Further, by arranging ink supply and waste ink storage parts in the ink container in many stages or a plurality of stages, waste ink can be reutilized by one ink container. Therefore, waste ink discharged and discarded heretofore by the sucking operation of a recovery system can be reutilized. |
