<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate a troublesome elevation of a raw material loader at the time of tilting a steelmaking arc furnace, returning it to an original attitude or turning a furnace cover. CONSTITUTION:The raw material loader for a steelmaking arc furnace comprises an elevation mast 5 which can be vertically movable, an electrode supporting arm 8 mounted in a direction perpendicular to an upper end of the mast 5, and a raw material conveying tube 10 disposed along the arm 8. Further, the loader comprises an electrode 9 provided at an end of the arm 8 and having a raw material loading hole 11 communicating with the other end of the tube 10, and a flexible hose 12 communicating with the other end of the tube 10 to supply raw material of powder particles. The hose 12 for supplying the material follows up to elevation of the arm 8.</p> |
