PURPOSE:To easily understand a document by displaying also information in the case there are a graphic or an image related to a certain character string in a displayed document. CONSTITUTION:A document editing device is provided with an input window 41 displayed on a display device, a menu window 42 for displaying the contents of processing and a pointing cursor 43 interlocking with a mouse displayed on the display device. When a character string is selected by the mouse or a keyboard, an inverted display state 44 is set up so as to clear the selection or the like. The device is also provided with a related information input window 45 for inputting or displaying related information independently of the input window 41. When a character string related to a graphic or an image exists in a document in displaying, the graphic or image is displayed in the window. Since the related information in the document is also displayed, the document can more easily be understood. |
