PURPOSE:To provide a developing device capable of always attaining optimum development by preventing some reversely charged toner besides normally charged toner in a nip from being retained. CONSTITUTION:In the developing device, a developing sleeve 51 carrying the developer of a developer supplying part to a photosensitive body is provided between the developer supplying part and the photosensitive body, at least one regulating member coming into contact with the developer stuck to the developing sleeve 51, to electrify the developer is installed and a power supply means 65 making a potential difference between the regulating member and the developing sleeve 51 is connected, so that the direction of an electric field generated by the potential difference between the regulating members 61 and 62 and the developing sleeve 51, applied by the power supply means 65 is transiently reversed. |
