PURPOSE: To provide a method and a computer system for detecting or correcting an error string in a text. CONSTITUTION: Concerning the method for detecting or correcting an error string Fi in the text stored in the computer system and the computer system, an error free string Si is first selected in a step 10 of this method. By changing the error free string Si in a step 11, an error string fij to occur is generated. This is effective for calculating a value αij in a step 12. The value αij expresses the probability for the error string fij to occur to be the real error string Fi . When the value αij exceeds a threshold value β, the result is outputted in a step 14. Otherwise, after a step 15 is executed, the other error string fij to occur is generated in the step 11. |
