PURPOSE:To provide a process for the cultivation of a plant to enable easy control of water and cuftivation liquid for the plant and provide a cultivation apparatus. CONSTITUTION:This apparatus 1 for the cultivation of rose is constructed of a plastic vessel 3 filled with a silica hydrogel 15, a water-supply tank 5 to enable the supply of water to the silica hydrogel 15 and a culture solution supply tank 7 to enable the supply of a plant culture solution to the silica hydrogel 15. A rose seedling 31 is planted on the silica hydrogel 15, water is supplied from the water supply tank 5 to wet the whole silica get and the plant culture solution is poured from the culture solution supply tank 7 to effect the growth of the rose seedling 31. The concentration of the plant culture solution in water is maintained nearly constant level by the adsorption and desorption of the culture solution to the silica hydrogel 15. In the case of water deficiency, water is desorbed from the silica hydrogel 15 and supplied to the rose seedling 31. Accordingly, water and the plant culture solution are extremely easily controlled by this process. |
