PURPOSE:To provide an acceleration sensor for realizing enhancement of productivity and reduction of manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION:A contact mechanism 18 having contacts 17, 19, being closed by an inertial force caused by impact, is mounted on a resin base 14. A metal plate 20 comprising contact plates 40, 42 is then inserted in the resin base 14. The contact plates 40, 42 are partially exposed through an opening of the resin base 14 and connecting parts 39A, 42A are provided thereon. A resin case 24 defining a space for housing the contact mechanism 18 is provided covering the resin base 14. A caulking part 53 is provided at the base part 52 of the resin case 24 and a fixing part is caulked to a wall 51 projecting from the resin base 14. The fixing part is filled with a sealant and the housing space is sealed hermetically. |
