PURPOSE:To provide an ink jet device for feeding ink to a head only during the performance life of the head. CONSTITUTION:Ink stored in an ink tank of an ink jet head integrated cartridge 1 is fed to an ink jet head and jetted out of an nozzle. In the case of replenishing ink into an ink tank, an ink replenishing component 18 is inserted into anyone of three feed openings 4, and ink 26 in a cylinder 20 is fed forcibly into the ink tank. When the replenishment of ink is completed and the ink replenishing component 18 is drawn out of the feed opening 4, the feed opening 4 is blocked by a shutter 7. The ink 26 is not replenished from the same feed opening 4 by a series of said operation, and the number of replenishment of ink 26 into the ink tank is limited by the number of replenishing openings 4. |
