PURPOSE:To provide an outboard motor which is constituted to ensure a breezer chamber having a necessary volume and perform arrangement of an engine auxiliary machine without increasing the size and the weight of a cylinder head cover and a cowling and worsening of mounting and demounting ability of the cowling. CONSTITUTION:In an outboard motor wherein an engine 3 having a crankshaft arranged in a vertical direction is covered with a cowling 5, a breather case 17 is arranged to a part of the cylinder head cover 16 of the engine 3 to form a breather chamber S. An engine auxiliary machine, such as a fuel pump 26 and a fuel filter 27, is arranged in a space surrounded with the inner wall surface of the cowling 5, the wall surface of the breather case 17, and the front of the cylinder head cover 16. The engine auxiliary machine, such as the fuel pump 26 and the fuel filter 27, is rationally arranged in the space having size enough to prevent the occurrence of a trouble to mounting and demounting of the cowling 5 without widely varying the cylinder head 16 and the cowling 5. |
