Food for domestic pets comprises 65-85 wt.% meat, 4-12% vegetables, 3.5/11% eggs, 0.2-2% mineral salts, 2-8% maize four, 1-6% soya lecithin and 1-8% milk, or its derivs. Mfr. of food prods. is by (a) forming a pasty mixt. of the components, (b) shaping in a mould, (c) freeze drying and (d) packaging in a gas impermeable wrapper. Foods pref. also contain 0.1-10 (0.5-5) wt.% olive pulp, and also 0.1-10 wt.% yeast, and also 0.1-10 wt.% freeze dried powdered fruit, and also Mg salts and vitamin B6.
