PURPOSE: To obtain a system and a method for executing dispersion compensation in an optical fiber high seed system by the use of a receiver. CONSTITUTION: The system includes a modulator 1 for modulating an electric signal for carrying information, an equalizer 2 for equalizing the signal modulated in the modulator 1 and an electroopical converter for converting the signal equalized by the equalizer 2 into an optical signal without substantially losing information while substantially holding phase and amplitude characteristics. |
