<p>PURPOSE:To avoid the reduction of a primary-secondary creeping distance caused by thick flashes and improve the quality of a photocoupler having recesses for the adjustment of the primary-secondary creeping distance on the side surfaces of a sealing resin molding. CONSTITUTION:A photocoupler has a light emitting device and a photodetector which are mounted on a primary lead frame 3 and on a secondary lead frame 4 respectively and are so provided as to be optically coupled in a sealing resin molding 5. On the side surfaces of the sealing resin molding 5, recesses 6 for the adjustment of a primary-secondary creeping distance are formed by an upper mold and a lower mold for sealing. In the recesses 6, at least a plane including the primary lead frame 3 and the secondary lead frame 4 deviates from the parting line between the upper mold and the lower mold.</p> |
