PURPOSE:To reduce operator's load at the time of preparing a table by specifying the positions of two corner parts at least on the table, the number of horizontal item columns and the number of vertical item columns to prepare the frame of the table. CONSTITUTION:In the case of preparing a table uniforming the sizes of blank columns in respective item columns and having a rectangular frame having its width over the whole width of paper under a document 11 displayed on a display screen, a table preparing mode is set up, a cursor K is moved to a position indicating the upper left end coner part of the table and then moved to a position indicating the lower left coner part of the table. Then, the data for the number of horizontal item columns, the number of vertical item columns and the number of lines (corresponding to an interval between horizontal ruled lines) for characters to be written in a vertical item column are inputted. By the way, the cursor K can be also arranged on the lower right end corner part, an upper right end corner part or a lower left end corner part. |
