PURPOSE:To prevent the exposure of power feed terminals, etc., and to protect the circuit connected to the low-voltage power feed terminals, etc., at the time of removing the process cartridge of an image forming device attachably and detachably mounted with the process cartridge, etc., in its mounting section. CONSTITUTION:The socket part of the cartridge mounting section to be mounted with the process cartridge 40 of the image forming device, such as laser printer, is provided with a power feed terminal window 60 to be arranged with the terminals 55, 56 corresponding to the unit 40 to be mounted and is movably arranged with an insulating protective plate 62. The insulating protective plate 62 is moved by a spring in a direction of closing the power feed terminal window to prevent the exposure of the terminal members at the time of removing the process cartridge 40. The insulating protective plate 62 is moved with a projecting member 63 existing in a mounting groove 51 to move the terminals 55, 56 and to touch the terminals 67, 66, by which the mounting and detecting circuit of the unit is connected when the process cartridge is mounted. |
